Mauricio obtained a Licentiate Degree in Social Communications and in Journalism at the UNIACC.
Among other things, Mauricio is broadly experienced as editor and journalist on various media outfits, having spent more than 15 years of work on the radio, television and the written press.
He started his journalistic career at Radio Nacional, Revista Minuto 90 and La Red TV covering sports topics. He was Sports Editor during the creation and launching of National Television’s creation and launching of their internet portal; he collaborated with the Sports Area of that Channel, in addition to his job as columnist for Diario Financiero and Revista Capital, on tourist and sports topics.
In 2006 he was awarded the APES (union of show business journalists) Award for the “Best Radio Trio” broadcast on Horizonte´s AM radio network. On this radio, as well as on Radio Zero, he directed current affairs, internet, and travel & tourism programs.
Since February 2008, he has been Hill & Knowlton Captiva’s External Communications Consultant, managing the agency’s telecom, services, and energy client accounts.
